Camilo Pedraza Jimenez
I’m Camilo Pedraza Jiménez, a PhD researcher in computational social science at the Hertie School. I work at the intersection of public policy, data science, and sustainability, using quantitative tools to study how land use, agricultural development, and institutions shape environmental outcomes.
My current research focuses on deforestation and agricultural change in Colombia, with an eye to practical policy impact. I am especially interested in causal inference, geospatial machine learning, and turning messy real-world data into clean, testable evidence.
- Methods: Machine learning, causal inference, geospatial analysis.
